Maple Leaf maintains 100% control of the hog genetics and have developed a rigorous biosecurity protocol to ensure no compromises. One critical part of the system is our feed. The feed mills are owned and operated by Maple Leaf and are the exclusive supplier to Maple Leaf Agri-Farms. Our formulas are closely controlled throughout the life of the hog to maximize the quality of the pork that reaches the Japan market.
Each farm is audited annually according to the highest Canadian standards. Maple Leaf ensures that the program complies with principles required in Japanese market. ANSHIN and ANZEN, (proof in our program / trust in our program), are critical considerations in our auditing standard.
